Wedding Bells
What a weekend. Yesterday was the first of my college friends’ wedding. My great friends Andrew and Catherine tied the knot in Athens. The wedding was perfect.
The reception was a blast. My friend Crystal and I decided we were going to take advantage of our trip to Athens. This time we wanted to make it like old times. Whenever we go out, we are mst likely the ones who stay in control and babysit everyone. Nope not last night. We didnt have to drive anywhere and we made the rule with some…NO LIQUOR. All translating to a good night. Im glad our table was in the back corner. I talk a lot when I drink wine. The dinner was amazing. And what happens when I drink…..I dance. I even made a little friend to dance with. She was so adorable. She had me spin her a lot which was hard. Wine, spinning….that is just asking for a headache. It seemed like out of our group only 4 of us willingly danced.
Best part of the wedding…..I CAUGHT THE BOUQUET. hahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahaha
I could not stop laughing (and it wasnt the wine). My friends went and grabbed Matt to show him what I did….priceless. Catherine (the bride) was so happy I caught it. She said she had hoped I would (she is one of many spokespeople for Ring Watch). Now it was time for the garter. The boys pulled Matt up to the front and do you know what he did……purposely swatted it away from him.
Either way, Im saving that bouquet in plain sight as a reminder.
We ended up going out after that and I started to crash. Its hard to keep up with these youngsters when you start at 5. We ended up going back to the hotel around 1 and sleeping in a cozy warm room (yes its been in the teens here)
Today (even though its dinner time) will be spent in bed because my legs are sore.
What a great weekend! Congratulations to A and C!

You caught the bouquet? That's so nice! haha a lot of ladies went crazy over that thing
The wedding looks fun, and if there's a dancing involved it must be!
How fun, you caught the boquet! I always wanted to catch a bouquet but never did.
It sounds like you had a really fun time at the wedding. My first friend to get married was in June of 2008. Then I had 4 last year and 5 this year to go to betweeen both my friends and Nick's. It's a snowball effect. Watch out! Haha.
