Hello to the SLOWEST week ever! I honestly think it is time to start planning a late summer vacation. I need to run away even for a weekend.

Right now I am struggling with a decision I need to make in the next few weeks. I am currently stuck in the middle of busy season at work. The days will drag out longer and longer. I will be getting less sleep because I will be going to bed later and going into work earlier. And dont get me started on the amount of stress. I have been experiencing serious anxiety these days.
All that, my running has suffered. I have been getting my weekend runs in and I am only a mile behind schedule, but during the week…..you are lucky to see dinner on the table. As you know I have RnR Chicago coming up. I signed up for this race a long time ago before my new position was given to me (I know I have said this before). Not only is my workload heavier, but tickets to fly to Chicago are insane. My dad told me he would help buy my ticket for my birthday (July 6th for those keeping track) which would help.
At what point though do I say I am trained enough or undertrained? If I run the race, I will have to interval run. So far, I have been able to fit in a 5 mile run and have a 10k coming up soon.
What would you say?
Once this crazy show is over, I am going to have to come up with a new plan of attack for my running. I need to build a base because deep down I REALLY want to try to push myself next year and run a marathon. It has been something I have wanted to tackle since I started running, but I just havent had the dedication.
What would you do?
