That Redheaded Sister

With the warmer temps around here its hard to not be in a good mood.  I have been meaning to post for a few days and have actually written them out, but I decided to forgo and focus on awesome things about to come.

I bought a pattern to attempt to sew my first dress…ever!  Not sure when I am going to start, but I want to start so I have a summer dress.  My inspiration:

And yes it will have a YELLOW skirt!  I actually pinned this on my Wedding Board on Pinterest.  No I am not getting married, but its fun to pin ideas.  I love this dress so much, if I can pull it off I thought it would be adorbs to make them for my bridesmaids (if they let me).

My flowers are starting to bloom.  I planted the top flowers last fall in Louisville and they not only survived the move, they bloomed into these fragrant beauties.  My azalea bush is also starting to bloom.  I worried about this guy (with the move and living in a pot) and he has little blooms.  Azaleas usually bloom the first week of April around these parts, so I still have a few more weeks.

I finally deflowered (definitely not like that) a ton of my old pots in preparation for spring planting.  Clearly you can tell I am excited for spring.

Once our bedroom projects have been completed (or while Im still working on the last ones), I am excited to start dining room projects.  Just you wait.

I am PUMPED about heading to Charleston in a few weeks for the Cooper Bridge Run.  My friends and I no longer refer to Charleston as Charleston.  We call it Heaven.  I am so in love with that city.  I have no idea what we are going to do (other than run that big ole bridge), but I will be walking the cobblestone streets of Heaven.  I hope to spend sometime antiquing and sitting at the beach.

I am also excited at the prospect of losing my calf pain when I run.  I ran a group run yesterday with my gym and not one but TWO trainers came up to me while I was nearly in tears from my legs and told me my shoes were causing the pain.  They said while they are lightweight and have some cushion, its the wrong kind.  This is twice I have had bad luck with Nike.  Sorry Nike, we are on the outs.  I dont think I can buy you anymore.  Dont worry, Ill still buy your apparel.  I plan to head to a running store Friday and let them refit me for better shoes.
