About
Hi All! Thanks for stopping by. My name is Heather and I am a 20 something that loves to run, bake, and DIY.
I currently live in Georgia with my boyfriend fiance and our two furbabies. We met while we were both in college and have been dating since 2005.
I started running in 2004 with my friend to train for a 10k. When I started running, I could not run a full mile. We trained for 2.5 months and I watched the mileage get easier and easier. I found my motivation grow more and more to start running all the time. We never ran that 10k, but something stuck with me. I ran on and off for the next few years and finally ran my first race (5k) in 2007, my last year of college. I fell out of running for a year or two and my friend asked told me to run a half marathon with her.
And the only reason I stopped running was in 2010 when I developed a stress fracture in my right tibia. Its gone and its on!
I have always found baking more fun than cooking. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that I do not know how to cook. I can cook if I have to, but I am no Giada or Rachel Ray. For me, baking takes a lot of creativity. In the past year or so, I have been baking more and more. With the encouragement from some of my friends and family, the wheels have started turning about turning my love for baking into something I wake up every morning to do. If you have a chance, check out my baking blog, For the Love of Baking. (One thing you are going to learn about me: I LOVE cupcakes!)
I read, sleep, eat DIY. I watch HGTV and DIY Network more than I’d like to admit. Currently we are renters, so my only DIY outlet is crafting and refinishing furniture. I try to scoop up deals and make them my own.
I am glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy!!
