A quick and EASY project

We just had a quick shower outside and I will take it.  I have had it with the allergies.  I mean, how much more can my nose run?  Rinse it away Mother Nature, rinse it away!

Speaking of Mother Nature, I have been having a tough time trying to find some sort of nature inspired art work for above our couch.  The wall the couch sits on is a rather large and boring spot.  Obviously being a renter, painting is not an option for me.  I searched stores and websites to find ideas and inspiration with not much luck.  Finally, I found what I was looking for.

Thank you Kristine.  I have been having a tough time with my living room because I have a hard time matching anything to my coffee table.

It has birds and trees.  How am I supposed to match birds and trees?  With other naturous things of course.  Enter the printables from The Painted Hive.

I knew I was going to print out all 8 because the wall is just that long.  I ran to IKEA to pick up some cheap frames ($2 each) and all it took was about 10 minutes of prepping and hanging.

I do love how she used black frames for images to add a bit of contrast, but I am trying to weed most of the black out of the room (watch out lamp, you’re next)

The walls are still lacking a few things, but we will get there.  Id like to also add some bright pillows to the couch, but matching and mismatching patterns makes me so nervous.  lol

I promise this project will take no more than 30 minutes of your time, unless you shop for a few hours at IKEA….but that is a different story.

How do you like to incorporate mismatched things into your home?

I love them. I love nature. I think I may try to get into decorating. I haven’t really done much with our place.

You’ve inspired me…..I am still planning on painting my curtains too ;)

I want you to paint curtains! I think I might do it again…maybe stripes or something simple like that.
